# Create a project

`POST /api/v1/projects`

MCP tool: `create-project`

Creates a project — the container every task belongs to and the unit of membership — with you as `admin`. **Every call creates a new one**, so read `list-projects` first: the project you want is probably there. The answer carries its `proj_…` id, the only name it has.

## Responses

- `201` — The project was created, and you are an admin of it
- `400` — The request body or query string does not match the operation's schema
- `401` — No Flow access token was presented, or it is not valid
